OK, here we go: I've got the MSD-6AL for safety of cutting spark at the rev limit, but I've heard that you want the factory rev limit to be set way high. I've got a hypertech programmer (just for speedo calibration and shift firmness) and was wondering if I would be ok to set the hypertech rev limit at 6200rpm and the MSD rev limit to 6000rpm, would that still be safe??? What if I changed the shift points on the hypertech so that it shifts a little earlier than normal, maybe 200rpm sooner? Would that be smart? Make any sense? I ask because I'm running low on cash flow and really cant afford to buy a window switch or have a reprogram, I'm trying to make the best of what I have right now (NX kit, GenXII upgrade, MSD-6AL, 255lph fuel pump, colder plugs). I'm going to shootin the 150 shot through her, and dont want to hit the factory rev limiter.
I havent even got the juice hooked up yet, but I'm just wanting my first pass to be safe. Would this work, safely?
Quick question on a different note: Is the Granatelli fuel pump (255lph) the exact same pump as the Walbro pump? I think I read that somewhere, or are they all together different?
Thanks in advance!! Later.
