EGR failure..........WickdZ 08-11-2004, 07:38 PM My ECM is telling me that I have an EGR failure. Should I replace it, or block it off? What are the pros and cons of blocking it off? Just remove the EGR valve and spray some carb cleaner in it and work the valve open and closed, it may just be sticking. Good luck. JG94Z 08-13-2004, 01:48 PM I think it's a pretty difficult part to see...unless they are really looking, they I don't think it should be a problem. I think it was a damn pain in the butt for me...one less thing to have to troubleshoot is always a good thing. Especially since they seem to fail quite often. Now removing your air pump tubing is real easy to see and very obvious. | ||
