Actually looks pretty awesome, though I'll have to see one up close to be sure. :thumb:

Why does it look good? Because it looks totally different than the Z4, 7 series, 6 series, and 5 series!!!. In other words, it has a normal freaking trunk and hood.

Unfortunately, they blew the dash (just like on the aforementioned cars) with that stupid pregnant looking 2nd binnacle in the center of the dash, next to the one covering the gauges. It sucked on the 7, it sucked on the 6, it sucked on the 5, and it still sucks on the 3. :(

JMHO, of course.

Not really. Can you read and understand German? The scanned brochures must have something.

Not bad. The 4 series coupe doesn't look too bad either. I am glad they toned down the "new" corporate look. I can handle the "flame surfaced" look, but the bulbous trunk - c'mon, it's hideous. Do my eyes deceive me, or it that not an iDrive controller on the console? Well, I suppose if you are going to annoy your upper crust customers with it, you might as well annoy the rest of your customer base as well. There's enough pain to go around it seems.

I think they will be careful not screw this car up as much as their other offerings since this is their bread and butter series.

Has anyone else noticed how middle-of-the-pack (back of the pack in some cases) BMWs are scoring in the mags they used to dominate? Being beaten by Caddys and Chryslers. What's next? A Chevrolet, out-of-the-ballpark home run of a car (outside of the Vette, of course)? One can only hope.
