I am currently stuck in Korea and I am going to Dayton. I want to know if any one knows of noise restrictions there. I am picking up my SS from Washington and driving across country and before I leave the Pacific Northwest I wanted to put on the Loud Mouth before I left to.......well you all know........to sound Good! Well any hoo I was wondering if there is any one in Ohio that has the Loud Mouth and if they get harassed by the cops.

And if there is any car clubs in the Dayton or general Ohio area. I am not exaactly sure how far Youngstown is just yet.

I live in Dayton (WPAFB). You should be fine as long as you have mufflers. Also, depending upon the county you might have e-check in which you will be required to have emissions equipment on the car. Some of the small suburbs have decible restrictions. Just check if you are going to live in one or ask if you have someplace specific.

There is a decent drag strip just outside of town. Along with others with in driving distance. There are alot of old muscle cars and drag cars running around. Not to mention some BIG and LOUD trucks. Lots of Ohio good ol' boys.

.... I doubt you will have a problem with the Loud Mouth.

Youngstown is about 4 hours away. I went to school at the University of Cincinnati last year and there was a f-body club there. Cincy is only 45 min south of Dayton.

Check out www.DaytonFbody.org

I run my car constantly with open cutout and I've never been harrased about the noise. E-Check isn't fun though.

If you drive civilized down busy streets and in residential neighbourhoods you'll be fine. I've recieved one noise violation ticket but that was from doing something stupid in the presence of a cop. Other than that I've been next to cops in traffic and they don't seem to notice, I even had one say that my car sounded nice. Even with longtube headers, no cats and a straight-through muffler like the loudmouth, I'm nowhere near as loud as a harley going down the road.

Thanks for all of you replying! I can't wait to get back to the States and be able to actually drive my car! I might have to have the wife drive the car at first, I might come out side ways from the storage place. Some of the Koreans drive fast, but not many. Itching to here some american muscle!! Coming from the Pacific Northwest I look foward to meeting some North Eastern FBodys!! Still have not decided if I am going to get the Loud Mouth or not just yet, trying to decide what I want done first. Kid in a candy store and all..... :D

Hey thanks, when I get there I will most definatly have a few questions to ask you all. I have been to that site, its a good one. Its a good thing too, my old camaro club's website seems to have gone down. By the way, has any one put either the Vigilanty or Yank stall in the stocker tranny?? Or any stall for that matter. I might just get a stall converter and get the cat back later. Then the other Crazy idea is converting from the auto to a M6, I had that in my Z and really miss it  !! Any suggestions?? :p

I have a yank converter in mine and I love it! I still think an exhaust is a really good mod though, or a cutout that way you can close it and go silent. I kept the stock catback on mine and got a cutout so it's rather tame until it's opened. ;)
