i was wondering exactly what the difference was between a rebuilt and salvaged title. I belive a rebuilt title is from a car that is once salvaged, then
repaired , inspected , and put back out on the road. Does this mean the title is considered clear now? ?

thanks for any help

You cannot license a car with a "salvage" title. Once it is inspected at the DMV and deemed roadworthy, it is given a good title, but will still be "branded" as once salvaged. I believe this is the "rebuild" title you are refering to.

I used to have an 88 Iroc, and the title said "previously titled in Illinois as salvage" I live in Wisconsin. I bought the car wrecked from the insurance company and had it fixed. That is how the title appeared after I had it inspected.
