What do you mean by 3" slip on. I know a normal 3" cutout will slip over the stock 2 3/4" 4th gen I-pipe, LT1 cars anyway.

Does the slip on mean that is a 3" cutout flared to slip over 3" pipe?

That link is to a high flow cat, not a cut-out. If its a cat you are looking for you need to know what size your y-pipe is, my guess would be that an exhaust shop can make it fit with no problems.

Yup, it will fit in the I-pipe, which is where you want it i assume. Its where 99% of people put them, including me. The other 1% has true duals and runs two of them, one off of each collector.

I dont have a cat-back, just swapped out the muffler for the more agressive sound oun the street. open up the cutout at the track for preformance.

If you have cats you will probably be able to run the cut-out open all the time. Its way to loud with no cats and headers, also sounds like crap.

how much difference can you feel with it opened up?

It will actually feel like it made it slower, you will lose some low end tq, but will increase peak power.

Just do it, if you dont like it, cap it, you are out $35 for the cut-out and $30 for the install. :D
