would it be ok to supercharge

i am thining about supercharging my motor. i havee 87k on it and runs stronge. i was thinking about a vortech run about 8 psi and drive that and then build a newbottem end for it come next winter.? what supporting mods would i need to do this. if i bought the kit.

First I would avoid runnning 8lbs of boost without an intercooler. The following supporting mods are needed:

Good fuel system
Scanmaster
Colder sparkplugs
Good dynotune
