Question Stall for high mile tranny?

Will a Vig 3200 stall w/cooler kill a 97K 4l60e?

Friend is planning on putting one in and he can either wait til he gets his tranny built and put it in then or since he has the stall now put it in and do the tranny later. Wanted to give the best advice available. Thanks.

Re: Stall for high mile tranny?

97K is already a lot on a 4L60E, also if he is putting in a stall I imagine he probably beats down on his car occasionally. I say he saves for a rebuild, and puts the stall in then.

He should wait for the rebuild, he'll save money on the install. He will need a rebuild soon.
