TA door panels in a Camaro.

OK, I decided to do this mod. What a PITA!! OK, the initial cut the little numbs off was easy, drill new holes and put plugs in. No problem. Then I needed longer screws. Home depot run. Also got some stuff to get the gaps between the panel and the door right. Next problem is the panel is up against the speaker and the tabs wont go in. So I had to clearance the inside of the panel to clear the speaker. Also it doesn't hold in tight around the edges, as it seems the tabs and there respective holes are not in exatly the right place. So I used a couple small black self tapping screws. Now I have the drivers side panel on and looks pretty good.
The next problem is hooking up the power mirror switch. I search and search and never found anyone that posted a diagram. Finally found a link to shoebox's site and got the wiring diagram for both cars. This is not a simple fix. An extra wire needed to be run from the drivers side to the passenger side mirror. The 2 cars use a completely different switch and different wiring. I have the wires colors written down, I just need to draw a diagram on where to run the wires and what need to be moved. So if anyone needs this, send me an e-mail and I will get the diagram done.
Now I need to mount my blue LED for the switches. The TA panel has red and it's the lens that is red, not the bulb. That's the next PITA.

I didn't have much problem with mine. The only thing I have left to do is:

-Fix the gap that is left from not having the knubs, what did you use? I was thinking carpet padding or something
-Mirrors, I didn't think they were that much of a pain? Guess I'll see
-Tweeters, but I'll probably just get a new component system, and put my own there

I love them, they look great, and Camaro friends often say they prefer the look/feel of mine over theirs

i would have if i wanted a trans am. i had ugly carpet door panels, and instead of getting boring Camaro leater ones, I decided to go with a sporty trans am panel

Someone posted a diagram over a year ago and thats what I used. My friend ended up wiring up the mirror so I couldnt tell you how to do it. No extra wire has to be ran.

As previously mentioned in this post, you can find the diagram on shoebox's website. If you don't know who that is. Do a search.

OK tried that. does not work. I think that the switch may be messed up. With a test light i only get one set of wires to light up (i think Red/white and Brown/white) what colors should light up??????
