Everyone get your cars ready, we want a huge turnout on this night so everyone bring your car out, doesn't matter if it is stock or totally modified we want everyone out to make it an interesting night. It's 2 weeks away so that give everyone time to get everything they need to get done to there cars.

Yeah I know its really bad . . . . but it keeps things interesting . . . .

. . . . .I almost hit sandeeps brothers car when we were heading home . . . I punched it in first and when I hit second gear it tried to change lanes on me . .. . I think it just doesnt get along with Hondas :p

This rule doesn't include verts...only hard tops.

I should be there racing my TA....although I maynot have the slicks mounted by then. Hopefully though :)

Mike, you might be out of luck with headers, but maybe that is allowed (as part of the exhaust)

Maybe headers would be considered "competition" exhaust. I will eventually put in a roll bar but the rule change could get me on the track a little sooner.

Sounds like full exhaust is allowed as long as it exits out back. Nitrous is a no no so we'd have to sneek the bottles in after tech.

The new rules, however, apply only to stock OEM-type production vehicles. Once any power adder or performance hardware is used, it then must follow the existing Summit E.T. safety requirements. Otherwise, any pure-stock, street-legal car running 11.50 or slower (example: stock Dodge Viper) would be governed by the proposed new Pure Stock Street Legal rules, providing the vehicle remains completely OEM stock.

I assume reading the article fully now that adding a cam, etc... or any "performance hardware" puts you immediately in the ET Street section and no longer valid for the pure stock 11.50s. That's how it reads to me, though it is a little grey.

I don't know how they would rate an upgraded pulley - is that not performance hardware? Hope not.

Either way, hopefully they'll just be more flexible with the rules at the track in general, and if you are hitting the high 11's, they won't turn you away. The new ruling may give the techs more flexibility to interpret the rules.

yep, I think the races might be a bit closer now that I "adjusted" things. I brought the car in today and my helmet. This rain had better stop!!!!
