Okay so I got rear ended, but I don't know how hard. I was yielding to a bus (I think, I wasn't exactly taking notes) and the person behind me hit me. I got shook up but I don't know how fast I was going. All I know is I was surprised that my bumper wasn't all messed up. I discover one of my tail lights doesn't work now, even though I think I got hit on the bumper. I suppose the momentum could have shaken something loose/broken something. Going to take the cover off there's like 30 different wires going back there and big steel screws so I decided to let the dealer take a look at it. I made an appointment at the dealership (Clarkdale Volkswagen) but do you think I should go to ICBC directly? My neck and shoulder actually hurt, and I'm not BSing. What do you guys suggest I do?
Thanks!

you wont get anything for injurys if there is no damage your car or the other one.
are you sure the light wasnt working before and not just burnt out.

Forget Clarkedale. Go straight to a few bodyshops and get them to look at it and make a claim with ICBC on the phone. Some bodyshops also have the ability to make the call and submit the repair estimate to ICBC without ICBC having to see the car.

I just washed my car and the bumper's all scratched up. There's only one big chip and a few scratches that weren't there before. I am going to call ICBC tomorrow, I guess. And as for the light, I got it replaced a month ago so unless it went out again I doubt it's burnt out.
Also I am not sure if there's damage to her car, as I didn't check. She hit me hard enough for me to feel it well, and some guy to actually get off the bus and give me his number as a witness.

are you a complete dumbass???? have you never dealt with icbc?? you do know your supposed to report a accident immeadiatley right. and that icbc dial a cliam is 24 hours. and if your hit from behind, 99% of the time its the person that hit you who will be at fault so dont be scared, dont waste your time or the dealers by going there, and dont waste your time or the body shops time, just report your accident, go to icbc then go for your repair.
