I am about to get new rims for my 99 Trans-Am. I was thinking of getting Torque Thrust II's again (I had them on my 98Z and painted the centers Charcoal Grey, they looked AWESOME) but am considering something new.

So, should I go with these rims (painted Torque Thrust II's):

or these (the AT Italia Riva 17x9.5, click on it to put on the car):

What do you guys think?

Both those wheels come in 18's. I would go with the AT's unless the TT2's are wider. I wouldn't go with either of them in a 17" size.

TT2's are too Common. I like the AT's dish thing they got goin on. Get those in 18 and it'll look BEAUTIFUL!!!!

show me 5 4th gens with 18"TT2's

ZR1's and Z06 wheels are commen, i dont know why people call TT2's common just cause people have them on old cars

Well, both sets I am looking at are 17"s. I can get either with decent tires (both 17x9.5) for $800.

Lot of votes for the TT2's. there is a trans am in the new PHR with the TT2's with gray spokes. actually looks pretty sharp

give me the web space and i'll load them up for you...i'll give you 20 pictures of ta/z28's with TTII's on them just for fun. they are the most over used wheel out there which is why almost every company has a version of them.

if you can afford the torque thrust II model i would look into intro, boyd, boze, budnik, etc.

pic yourself up a nice 2 piece billet wheel that is custom built to your offset and fits your design. the quality will not only outshine american racing but chances are your wheel will be lighter and will definately set you apart.

be bold and go with something different. check out a few of my pictures below with boze stinger which is similar in design to one of the wheels you chose. couldn't be happier and until my feature was published i was the only one with them on a sports car.

:D
