DMH Ecutout GP

20 + orders, 2.5" 3" and for Borla cat back, $150 shipped and add $20 for the Flowtech if needed. Duals will be $290 and add $40 for the Flowtechs. You can order on the web site with the online ordering form.

Pick the size you want and in the " additional notes" section put code CZ28GP3 to get this price. No need to fill in the wiring length since I have harness's already made up for the F bodies. Orders will begin shipping when the 20 orders have been reached.

what happens if you don't get 20 orders?

The first GP had 35. The second had 28 so 20 shouldnt be a problem :)

what is the difference between the Borla cut out and the regular DMH unit? The reason Im asking is because I have an exhaust thats like the Borla...except its a 3inch cut out and it connects to a 3inch pipe.

I want this setup SO BAD but I don't know what setup I'm going with for exhaust. All I know is I've got Jet Hot Long Tubes. I don't know if I'm better off with 1 cutout for each header, or just one bigger cutout where the Y-pipe comes togother or what.

Any insight into that?


Also, what's the difference between the Borla and Flowtech cutout...is one better than the other, or do different applications require a different cutout?

I believe you will want a 3inch. but i just ordered mine for my borla so count me in.

Whatever size your Y-Pipe is i think you would get that size.

3" Ecutout's are the size 99% of Fbodies run on stock or aftermarket cat backs.

Dave88LX My opinion on the dual or single would be single. A single is easier to install because there is a perfect place for it. The duals have been done on the 4th gens but I havent seen any pics of them installed. Not much room under there from what I can tell looking under my Formula.

Borla style ecutouts are for Borla cat backs only. They have the 3" pipe but the flange bolt circle is bigger than a normal 3" flange therefore they will not interchange. If you dont have the Borla cat back you would get the 3" ecutout. The 3" ecutout will bolt to all 3" dump pipes including Flowtech, Headman, Summit, and Jegs brands.

Would the fact that I have to get a custom Y-pipe done up for my Long-Tubes anyways change that at all? If I were to put just a single at the Y...that would only be a 3" also then right?

I know it can and has been done and if you have someone who can fab the Y pipe to get good ground clearence then it would be fine. Just didnt want you to spend the extra $$ on a set if you could get away with a single.

I'm thinking of somethig like this...I don't know how much better the exhaust will flow going straight out of the cutout vs. going around the corner and out of the cutout like the Flowtech adapter is set up for...

This way, when you open the cutouts, the exhuast goes STRAIGHT out...I don't know how this will affect flow as it would normally be when the cutout is closed though?

I have several customers with older musclecars doing that type of exhaust. They say it is nasty loud :) I just dont want to sell you something you may not need for the sake of the sale.

Got mine on a couple of days ago. I didnt get it from the GP. Very nice peice though. I didnt like the switch, but the stealth guys will love it. I got a good one from Radio Shack.

Placed my order. Can any muffler shop install the flowtech?

Whew...we made it!! Do you know when they will start shipping? and is there a way to upgrade shipping to get it here sooner?

I have another question... The switch that comes with the cutout is a little black flip switch, correct? Is it easy to change the switch to the style that comes with the manual fan switch (tall metal toggle) because I want my switches to match....ya know :D

yeah, I used my work address but the office is closed tomorrow....looks like I'll be hanging out in the office tomorrow by myself waiting for the package. Were spoiled over here...we have an X-Box hooked up to our projection screen so that's what I'll be doing until the tweaked out carrier gets here.... if it's UPS..oh no...this guy that delivers stuff to us is totally bugged out weird man...reminds me of MadTv of that black guy acting like a UPS carrier all tweaked out on Meth..."Dude, like dude...

Sweet, the UPS just gave me the cutout and the digital camera I ordered. My 4.10s are going in tommrow on my lunch break, Ill probably put the cut out in on mondays lunch break. Tuesday Ill have the muffler shop throw a weld on it. Thanks!

My wire harness was about 2 feet short cuz I had my cut out in the right before the muffler. Other than that GREAT product!

got my dual DMH's friday, looks great!!!

much better product than QTP's- qtp TRYS to weld their butterfly onto the shaft, wll after playing with it off the car even before instlalation their welds broke. QTP"s are junk now, they should go back to their orig design.

Im not sure cuz I haven't fired up the car yet.... I still have to readjust the rockers so Im assuming its going to be the same as it was before. The only difference is that its adjustable now. :bow:

Im running Jet Hot Long tubes, no cats, HUGE cam with a Borla style cut out in the rear...now its adjustable so the resonance should remain the same.

Fired up the car and the cutout works beautifully!!!! Im a satisfied customer. :)

I just got mine wired up yesterday. I took it to the local muffler shop to weld in the flowtech, they only charged me $20. The cutout is definately fun though, Im a satisfied customer. Thanks!

I installed my switch on the instrument bezel near the steering wheel tilt lever.

I didnt even really mount mine. I just left the head of the switch sticking out of the side of the console right next to my driver seat. You cant see it at all.

I'm assuming its too late to get in on this GP :( ???
