look into the yella terra pieces from thunderracing...they are shaft mounted in pairs, not requireing guide plates and are about $500 i think...

i've been researching them too.

I'm pretty sure stock is 5/16 in diameter.

5/16 is stock diameter. i use the VHP 1.89 accelerated rocker kit. http://www.vincihighperformance.com/superwebdeals.HTML

i also had them install their dual spring kit at the same time. here's the dyno results:

this was with no tuning. this is on the 99 formula in my sig.

that's alot of freakin torque!!!

i kindda quickly added up what would be needed...and it easily tips the scales at $750

that's alot!

sorry. but, it wasn't alot of torque. if you look at the left side of the red graph, there is a spike. that's a fluke that sometimes happens. there was a 13 lbs-ft gain. that's why i put the cursor on the graph to show the real gain.

I like the Harland Sharps.

Out of the six 10 sec LS1's in the article in GMHTP, 3 of them ran stock rockers. Save that $750 and get you a cam, headers or something that'll actually help you.

this is a heads and cam car with headers, getting rebuilt, i was gonna put some good ones in because they have problems with needles being found in the oil pan

Those cars I mentioned have heads and pretty large cams. They run 10s, that should tell you someting.

I went with the Comp Cams Pro magnum 5/16" guide plate rockers, primarily because they are the cheapest way to get adjustable rockers on an LS1. I'm running Comp 'r' lifters and they are fussy about preload.

You have to match your pushrods. LS1s have 5/16 pushrods.
