maybe a few bolt ons, but thats all...

when i bought it, i told my wife the 02 is for riding, and my 96 is for racing :D

but you never know :)

btw with a lid/longtubes/4400 stall/100 shot it would give me run in the 96....

Yep, get some better air and it'll go alot better. Your trap speed is LT1 territory.

yea that weather is killin you. I have to bring my car to the track when i got time. You should do a lid and go when theres less humidity.

I was about to say how many trailors were you pulling behind you....those 02's knock on the doors of 12's bone stock

the 2.0 sixty foot was the all it would do, dead hook on et streets with about 17psi....the stock stall is really holding it back....

at this track it seems pretty cosistent that stock ls1's trap about 100-101mph....times range 13.8 to 14.2....

the only time we have good air is around oct :( maybe then i can 11's in my 96lt1 (in sig)

im not trying to sound negative but a 02 ls1 with 3.73 gears should run much better than 13.8, even with a 2.0 60 ft, the best gears stock they come with is 3.23 gears, the 3.73 should have lowered your et by .1-.2 your mph should be atleast 102+ and if a strong running ls1 had longtubes lid, 4400 stall it should be awful close to your 12.2 lt1, i damn sure know if a decent running ls1 had longtubes and lid, and a 100 shot it would be very low 12s, then with the 4400 stall it should see mid-high 11s, ls1's respond VERY well to mods.

Yea, just the 373's should get you a 12 second pass w/ a good launch...if not real close, 02's are the strongest 4th gens

i agree, if not high 12s, definately low low 13s

is the track gravel or something? :D

Im pretty sure the weather is kicking his ass guys. I ran a 13.04 @ 112 mph because it was so hot, and my car has a cam in it. But that 60' is kinda high for having ET streets on the car. Track sucks huh? No prep?

for the minimal mods you have 13.3@108 is GREAT, especially for a crappy 2.3, if you had drag radials and got a 2.0 60 ft your slip would be damn near 12.7-12.8

its an auto and nope never been there. where's it at. and that run last year at 13. 89 it was a lot cooler out . going to slp day this year , hopefully the cooler air and letting a little air out of the tires might get me into the 13.0 or less who knows. run what you brung!ps it has the stock 2.73's

You guys need to not knock someones times in high elevation and crappy weather untill you've went there and ran side by side with him and beat him.
High elevation, heat, humidity, and a low barometer can combine to make your car run so slow that you'd think it was broke. But everybody elses at the same location does the same.

with a lid/longtubes/4400 stall/100 shot it should be showing its ass to the 96. ;) i cant see your 02 running ANY worse than an 11.70 on spray (i've got the same setup, see sig) on motor it would probably be a real close race.

i will also agree with AL SS590 M6 that weather is a HUGE factor in ET. my car ran 13.70s with a Lid and Loudmouth at around 102 mph in 90*, very humid weather. 2 days later, at nite when it was 20 degrees cooler and a bit drier, instant 13.40s @ 104.

How is 13.3 GREAT when it's an LS1 with LTs AND true duals and other bolt ons? Yeah the 2.3 is terrible, and he could cut that time down to 12.7 with a 1.8 60' and probably get another mph out of it.

I've gotten a 2.0 60 ft time on street tires with 15K miles on them. My best run is a 8.59@84 MPH

Ouch. My SS ran a 13.4 @ 106.5 100% stock in 4800' DA. Good weather will definitely help your times though. :)

i really dont have to reply, you contradict yourself with your reply, i said a 13.3 is great FOR a 2.3 60 ft and when i said great i was talking about if he used some drag radials and cut that 60 down his times would have been even better, so again a 13.3 is GREAT for a 2.3 60 ft
