GoFast908Z 07-10-2004, 08:18 PM I'm a 3 year zaino user and use it in detailing customer's cars. But I always have a problem with streaking with the Z-6 spray. I have to do it over and over to eliminate streaks. I've tried it with it in the shade and in cool temps, also in the sun when its hot. No matter what conditions, it streaks. I use the fieldcrest towells too. Whats the problem?
Zaino guy 07-10-2004, 08:33 PM Maybe your using too much? try smaller amounts.
GoFast908Z 07-10-2004, 08:35 PM I do use small amounts. I like to conserve it. Besides, like with the rest of zaino, a little goes a long way.
SSMOKEDU 07-10-2004, 09:48 PM I just read this on Zaino's site.
Using Z6, you're supposed to use an amount, about the size of a dime, per square foot. It is also suggested that you could try and use a 50/50 mix of Z6/water. Check out their site for alot of helpful tips.
I just think you may be using too much.
GoFast908Z 07-11-2004, 04:10 AM 50/50 mix huh? Hmmm. Haven't heard that before. I'll give it a try tomorrow when I wash my car. Thanks
jeepbeast 07-11-2004, 08:42 AM i just posted the same question a few weeks back. what i did was use the 50/50 mix with water and no more streaks :D
Error 07-11-2004, 09:30 AM I've been using the 50/50 method for a long time. Make sure you use distilled water though.
GoFast908Z 07-12-2004, 04:21 AM so, i'm guessing, no tap water then?
KevinSS 07-12-2004, 09:51 AM Just sprinkle the surface with Z-6, no dousing, wipe the product around evenly with a clean towel, flip the towel to the dry side and it will evaporate evenly and one more pass with the towel and it should be perfect....
GoFast908Z 07-12-2004, 04:06 PM Am I just retarded? Cuz that is what I've been doing all along, small amounts, sprinkle, clean cloth, flip, re-wipe, but it still doesn't work.
SSMOKEDU 07-12-2004, 04:57 PM You're not retarded.
Just another idea, but I always make sure to really shake up the Z6 before using. I'm just grasping at straws for ideas as to why youre having a difficult time :)
Give the 50/50 mix a try ;)
Kevin V 2002 SS 07-12-2004, 06:52 PM It is also easier to spray the towel instead of the surface, especially if the surface is hot.

The purpose of a QD spray is to lift light dust off of the paint surface for cleaning, to keep it looking good between washings. This is why you spray it ON the paint....so it lifts the dust off, so that it doesn't induce marring when you wipe it off.
)2overt SS 07-14-2004, 12:57 PM Try rubbing it quickly, I found that to help some. Also, spray it on and rub around in an area and if it is not rubbing it, "spread" it out more, if you know what I mean by that.
Buffy 07-14-2004, 03:32 PM i use 50/50 with my tap water and haven't had any problems so far.
