Clutch grabbing high up after not driving car for over 1 month
My car has been down for about 6 weeks because of a broken pinion, and i just changed the gears yesterday, cars workin great but the clutch is catching right at the top.
I know it is not the gear swap that did this because when i was driving the car the 10 ft to get onto the lift it was doing this then.
The clutch is the SLP setup including the lightweight flywheel, it was fine before i stopped driving the car even w/ the busted pinion.
The fluid is right at the top still and i havent touched that...
I actaully installed a new LS1 Tranny mount about 5 weeks ago hoping that would fix the clunk clunk problem... For the 18mm bolt, i needed a deep socket to fully get it on, but i didnt have one so i used a regular 18mm socket, it is on there fine but i dont think it is as torqued as it could be, the tranny was being forced up by the jack so i did manage to screw it on a good distance... do you think not torquing this nut enough could be the problem?
I cant think of anythign else taht would cause this because the car hasnt been driven and it was fine before... if there was a leak the fluid would be down wouldnt it?
Is there air in the system??
And is the SLP clutch engagement point adjustable?

Probably got some air.. Pump the pedal a bunch.. see if it fixes it.. SHould be able to go back to normal after a lil driving.. Could it also be that you were driving a different manual tranny'd car? that change's things a bit too jumping from one car to the next..
lol yea, i thoguth that at first but i just actaully met up w/ the guy that did my gears and he agreed that it was catchign at the top but it did feel like it was still fine, so he told me to bleed it.. now i just need to find the bleeder screw
