Possible Dyno Day?

Would anyone be interested in having a dyno day sometime?
Alvin from PCMforless said if there are enough people, he'd go anywhere. I didn't know how many people would be interested in having one in Central Indiana. We would also need to find a place to do it at, and check with Alvin on when he could be available. Just a thought. Let me know what you think.

I wouldn't mind a dyno tune for my car if we can get enough 93 guys.

That could be kinda hard, but I think they can tune other cars too can't they.

all you need is 5-7 guys with 86-93 GMs or 88-96 mustangs

we have a tuner coming to springfield IL at the Horse Power Factory

they are open from 12 to 8pm M-F but closed at 4:30 on tuesday for racing.

I already have one of Alvin's tunes, + Springfield, IL is a long-ass haul for me.

You can find some people for bryan and that will drop the cost for the dyno way way down.

Me and bryan did 12 cars last friday, I think the dyno time came down to around $60 a car for a hour.

what about somewhere in the chicago land area? my 396 lt1 needs a tune and im in, i dunno how possible it is for me to make the trip to central indiana

I live about an hour away from Cincinnati, so Chicago is about 4-5 hours away for me.
I would kind of like to only go as far as Indy if at all possible

how about a dyno day at speed inc then get the tuners there? it is in schaumburg, IL

I just got back on saturday from MROZ in merrillville. I had fuel problems but ION (Madwolf) is coming back in two weeks. See if he would be able to dyno tune the car. 8/21/04 is the date. Just stay away from a tuner named DOOMASTER that freaking idiot cost me a motor at horsepower factory. MROZ's owner Dan is one of the best guys I ever delt with. He has a Dynojet and the number is 1-219-942-6311 and tell him Erik with the 93 sent you. Trust me it is more than worth it very nice shop and owner. ION worked wonders with some of the cars there.

well the dyno day went great. my car feels like it has a whole different motor in it. i gained about 37 hp and 36 tq just with Ion from madz28.com tuning my car. thanx Ion!!!

Lets make this happen. I've done quite a bit of traveling for dyno days. They are always really fun for all of us.

If anyone wants to setup a tentative date please feel free. I'll make the trip for 1 car but I prorate the price by travel cost so the more the better and cheaper for you guys.

sweet, yeah just try to round up some cars. IT doesn't have to be f-bodys just cars 93 and older and trucks 95 and older. Bryan can make the trip too if theres enough interest for him.

Ususally the travel cost is right at 300-400 with hotel, car, and plane tickets.

I'm in for Evansville, if it is on a weekend. Special bonus, my g/f is going to school there! :D Anyway, it will get me motivated to get my car fixed.

Well i'm bringing this post back, I really haven't heard from anyone which was suprising. I realize right now everyone is saving money for the holidays and are probably working on their project cars, so maybe now isn't going to be the best time. I might be interested...its a 4 1/2 hour trip for me, and only "mod" done to the car right now is a catback exhaust, but lemme know if you guys ever find a solid date for the dyno day that way i know whether to spend my money on other performance mods or not (usually takes me a lil bit to save up enough money for something)

I'd really like to get this done as well. The 93z liljay speaks of is mine and we have a couple of buddies that are interested with us as well. So if there is enough interest it will happen.

I'm out for now, Tranny problem, probably won't be ready until spring, and hope to be getting it painted early spring. I'll keep checking back to see if this happens

I didn't think Kenny Brown did that. I called 'em a month or so ago and they referred me to Automotive Specialties. What's the place in Bloomington?

Me and couple other guys got one setup in Bowling Green, KY on sept. 17 if you are interested. Alvin for pcmforless is doing the tuning. This is during the F-body gathering show at the corvett museum.

What is the cost per person going to be, I might just have to do that with you guys. This is also if i get the miss in my car fixed, I would imagine its kind of hard to tune a car that isn't running right.
