Well, on the highway my exhaust just drones on the inside of my car. Starting to annoy me a little after a year. So, I bought two $3 cans of permatex rubber undercoating, ripped out my trunk interior, and went at it. After it dried, puit everything back in. It made it just a little quieter inside. Not really much. But for 6 bucks, not a bad deal for me. An idea for you guys.

Good info! But since this is more of a "generic" thing and not so much related to the LT1 engine, I'll move it to the General Tech forum :)

A buddy of mine went to Home Depot and bought a buttload of that alum. insulated padding stuff .. it's really thin. He ripped out the seats and carpet, lined the interior, and put it all back in.

Nice and quiet inside now.

why does everyone talk **** about the weight of under cariage spray. i did the ENTIRE underside of the car and gained just over 5 pounds. OMG what a difference in the car. if you are the type of person to spend 500 on some lightweight carpet, then disregard this statment

Im not to worried about the weight of two layers of spray in my trunk. Besides, if a few ounces bother you, wouldnt a few ounces in the rear to add traction be beneficial. Even though a few ounces wont do a thing. :)
