Well i've been on this forum for about a year now and i finally got my car, the only way i could afford one is to buy a wrecked one...it's a 98 SS M6 with a lot of mods that i can tell already...i know what it has is Taylor 8mm wires, some brand of ceramic coated LTs with a Y pipe and LM (gonna be loud as hell!!!) i say gonna be loud cause 4 wires, the MAF and air lid are missing (previous owner took them off...bastard) so i have to replace those before i can even crank it...he was spraying it to so that has me a lil worried but maybe he wasn't too abusive on it...but anyways, my question is, where can i find out about my car, like what all it has on it and stuff by deciphering the codes in the door??? thanks a lot

Congratulations........hopefully you'll have it running without too much expense.
I get most of my F-body info from right here with searches.
Good luck with the car!

How much damage is done to the body? A transplant might be cheaper than repairs

Hell yeah i'm interested...thanks bro...oh yeah, all the body needs is a front bumper, one headlight, front bumper support and the quarter panel has a med. sized dent that we havn't decided if we're gonna fix it or change it, but other than that it's just some scrapes and stuff...and i ordered a new set of plug wires and a GMS MAF for it yesterday and it'll be here by this weekend so i can see if the damn thing even runs:rolleyes: i have my fingers crossed...anyways yeah hook me up with that e-mail...thanks again

Some advice if its not to late. Dont buy an aftermarket MAF sensor. Most people find the stock ones to work the best. The reason is becuase it is a calibration tool for the PCM, so when you change it your pcm kinds goes screwy and can mess up your a/f ratios. Have fun with the car.

yeah that's what i've heard from a few people but then a few more told me they've had no problems...when i get it running i'm gonna take it to thunder racing and dyno it and prolly tune it to...we'll see when it gets here...thanks for the warning though
