Is it true that ported heads don't need to flow as much on the intake side when using a power adder such as nitrous as long as the exhaust has good flow numbers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Yes. In a lot of the David Vizard books he talks about being able to make in excess of 175 horsepower with 100 horsepower nitrous jetting just by doing exhaust related mods. Just keep in mind the motor will be a dog off the bottle with a lot of these mods (1.5's on the intake, 1.6's on the exhaust, tight lobe separation, 13* or more exhaust duration than intake @.050, etc, etc.

These heads flow 235 on the intake and I forget what they flow on the exhaust side, but it is similar to most flow numbers I have seen on the web. I'm sure that there is some performance to be gained off the bottle, and I am giong to use the CC305 cam. These heads aren't bad are they?
Thanks

You would want them to flow somewhere around 175cfm on the exhaust side to achieve a .75 I/E ratio. They arent bad, there are people making good power with vortec heads and that is right around what they flow on the intake side.
