I should be right at 400rwhp n/a with my heads/cam setup. See sig for details. I'm looking at high 11.3x's on motor here soon so how much do you think I could spray? I'm thinking a 75 shot just to get in the 10's. I'm a little more worried than the average person since I already have 400rwhp. Any ideas?

C16 gas. Or the highest thing you can find. You should be ok with a 75. People spray more and get away with it. I would do it on a dyno first and pull more timing. But hitting the juice out of the hole will help your 60ft. big time.

TTT... I'd like to go high 10's on stock bottem end, 10bolt, and 4l60e.

Maybe Derrick can chime in here. He sprays a 175 shot on a Heads/Cam Z with completely stock shortblock.

Derrick does, or did?

Derrick does, still has the 10 bolt in his car also.

I sprayed 175 pon a stock longblock and went 11.02,woulda gone 10's but the output shaft of the 4l60e didnt agree and broke about 50' off the line.

Werd. There are a lot of guys still running stock sb with n2o. I would say you'd be fine with a 150 or so.

Also, you're NOT going to get into the 10s w/ a 75 shot. Moreover, with 400 on tap NA, you won't even feel the 75 more than likely...

he would def feel a 75 shot. 400 is a lot out of a stock setup. i dont think i would push 150. maybe if he had done rod bolts.

You don't think a 75 shot would net me 10's? I'm planning on running low 11.3x's on motor.

most ppl i have heard of drop about a second on a 100. so yes 75 shoud do a 10 if you are 11.3 on motor

It better get me 10's. :D I don't see me having a problem hitting 11.3x on motor with decent weather and the little mods I have coming up.

The 76k mile stock shortblock is still together. :D I haven't been to the track in awhile with the car. Been busy with other projects. Still having some fun on the street though. ;) I'm contemplating going with a 28" tire and upping the rear gear. I ran the 11.03 with 17" wheels in the front and traction issues. I wish the skinnies I now have were on for that pass. Would have been the 10.9x I'm looking for. I still don't have a cage. LOL. But No Problem has Midnight Madness every now and then. :thumb: Can't wait for the cool weather.

You got any dyno #'s and what do you run on motor?

I ran a best so far of 12.09 @ 112.21. That was with 17's up front too. LOL. ;) 3650 raceweight. And the 3.42's are killing me NA.

No I don't. Not trying to sound like a dick, but as you build up a car making a lot of hp NA, n2o is not going to pick you up like it would on a stock car.

For EX- my '96 w/ cai & exhaust typically went 13.8s @ 100 NA. With a 150 shot it went consistant 12.0s @ 115. That's a lot for a 150 shot, but the car was bsically stock at the time. I've got a friend of mine w/ a '81 Malibu that runs 10.8s NA. On a 125 hit went a best of 10.3. Not exactly what you would expect, huh?

That's just the way it works. Once you hit the low 11/high 10 sec mark, it's going to take more nitrous to make you drop the same ET that say, a stock car would drop.

I'm sure you're going to have a hard time swallowing this but oh well. I know from experience. Here's my guess as to what you'd run with different jetting if you run...lets say, a 11.35-

75 shot- 11.0s, maybe 10.9s

100 shot- 10.6-.7s

125 shot- 10.5s

150 shot- 10.2-.3s

175 shot- high 9s

JMO from the eperience I've had...
