So which gears do I have???

I just looked it up. I have the code GU2, which means 2.73's, But my shifter says 1, 2, D, OD. I dont have the car with me in Florida, I was just wondering for peace of mind.

It sounds like you have 2.73s.

FWIW, D = 3rd gear, OD = 4th gear, but I think in Trans-Ams, they use 1, 2, 3, D, where D = 4th gear.

If the sticker says GU2, and the gears are still original, then yes, you've got 2.73's:).

he means the fact that his car says 1 at all. from what i've heard, LT1 equipped cars with 2.73s only had "2, D, OD". my friend's Z28 was like that...however my 98 says 1,2,D,OD too and it was a factory GU2 car. (thank god i got rid of those:D ).
