Where did you mount your Auto Meter shift light?lons94z 06-24-2004, 07:41 PM Wondering if there is some place that works best? Bud M 06-28-2004, 12:21 AM I put my shift light at the base of the A pillar ianwells100 06-28-2004, 01:16 AM for a 97+, which i have, i got mine in one of the air vents, works perfectly, and is stealth 94BlackBowtie 06-28-2004, 02:17 PM I mounted mine right beside my automatic shifter. :o :D Just kidding. I was going to suggest the air vents. Brandon 95 Z28 06-28-2004, 04:15 PM Mine is to the right of the steering wheel, near the ac vent. Where did you connect the green wire? I have heard that the pink/black wire going to the coil will give a tach signal. And a simple wire....the ground. Where did you connect this? I would like to find SOME metal in or under the dash, clean it off, and attach the ground. When I installed the scanmaster earlier this year I couldn't find any metal, and just ran it's ground to my fan switch's ground. (which runs right to the ground at the battery. Problem is I think this is the reason I keep getting a fan relay code. So I have to find some metal for both the shift light and the scanmaster. Thanks for any help. 12SCNDZ 07-02-2004, 07:22 AM I got a wiring diagram for my car and tapped into the wire running to the factory tach, in the instrument cluster. I grounded it to one of the bolts coming through the firwall near the steering column. Frank Originally posted by lons94z OK a couple more questions Red wire is pretty simple.
