Anyone go to Englishtown for the drags this past weekend?

Was a great race Sunday, anyone make it? Took my buddy for his first time, he INSISTED he wouldn't :cry: next to a Top Fuel header smelling that Nitro.. Love taking first timers!! Needless to say he wasn't as "manly" as he thought he was ;) Had to lock all my credit cards in the safe until the "drag racing fever" wheres off :D

No, I missed it again this year too. I have been saying that for 3 years now. I watched a good bit of it on TV, and I am sure they will replay most of it. From the looks of the qualifying I think they were having problems with the track. Every 3rd car was just going up in smoke.

I'm determined to make it next year!

Yea pretty much the first round the looser lost because they blew the tires off.. by the second round they had it nailed though. Number 1 qualifier was gone in the first round in all the classes except PS Bike.. That guy just broke the et record every time down the track.. Was supprising to see all the big guns in Top Fuel gone in the first round except Larry Dixon..

I really wanted to go but had too much going on this weekend. We usually go for the the Friday night qualifying. The drivers have more time to talk to the fans and there is nothing like watching a top fuel dragster go down the track in the dark. Amazing. Hopefully we'll make it to Maple Grove in September.

I waqs there all 4 days. I have friends that work on the top fuel and pro stock teams. About the only time I get to see them is at the events.
