they are in excellent shape .. no leaks or anything at all
as far as the prokit trade goes .. Im not sure .. I guess I still need to put in that phone call to Sam to figure out exactly what I want .. i kinda rushed into the DA / Pro kit combo and the ride isn't what Im looking for .. handles like a creation of god almighty himself ... but not the ride I want for my daily driver

I have a set of SAs... Don't know how much different the ride would be though.

Id consider the SAs ... how old are they ? how many miles ?
what springs do you run them on ? how do you like the ride ?

I bought them used and haven't installed them yet. Actually, I did install the rears, but the car hasn't been driven with them on so I couldn't tell you about the ride. I planned on using them with stock springs at first and go from there.
They appear to be in excellent shape, I was planning on using them on my own personal car if that means anything. I wish I knew more about the history of them, but that's all I know. They look pretty much like new still. No rust on them or anything like that.
Do the DA's have an adjustable perch for the spring in front? That was one of the reasons I went with the SA's, so that I could lower the front a tiny bit without going to lowering springs. Pull out the stock rubber isolaters in the back and put in a piece of rubber hose and you have lowered the car without changing the springs.

both have that.
Going from the DA to the SA could give you a more harsh ride as they are the same shock but you cant adjust it as much.

afaik, the SAs have a softer bump rating than the softest bump setting on the DA ... Now with my limited knowledge of suspension . I really don't know if the harsh bump is causing this crappy ride, or a spring / shock mismatch or a rebound setting
whats Sam's number again ?
