Charlotte, NC Meet June 18th

Its gonna be off of exit 25 in Huntersville. Take a left off 77(or right if coming south) and goto the 4th light (you'l see a cashions on the left) and take a right. Drive around the bend and go 1/4 mile and look for us on the right. We will be at the top of the parking lot of the Palace movie theater. Starts around 9:30pm or so and should have a good amount of cars there. Call me at 704-905-7177 if you have questions.

I'm going to be free Friday evening to go down... it'd be cool to meet up with more CZ28.com members. Is there a good chance that there's going to be a decent turn out? I mentioned it to my friend who owns a '73 Z and he said he wouldn't mind riding down either.

Also... are there any carwashes in the area? Last time I drove down to Charlotte for F-body Motorsports Grand Opening, I had a TON of bugs all over the front end. It'd be nice to be able to give it a quick rinse before I show up :D

Yup theres a carwash about 2 miles from our meet. Hope to have a great turnout, I've posted on alot of boards and there will be all kinds of sportcars.Mustangs, F-bodies, Vettes, and maybe some fast Imports so take you a lil drive and come meet us.

Has it been raining nearly every day down there like it has here in VA? As of right now I'm still on for hanging out for a while.

Is the place where everyones meeting at going to be friendly to a large turnout? I'd hate for the cops to come run us off :D

cops arnt a problem they actually usally know before hand they will roll by to check things out though......turn outs are usually good

Sounds good to me, I still plan on being down there for a bit at least. I have to truck it back here to VA after the meet and hop in a car to head to NYC :D

So your the new guy in mt airy huh? Buddy of mine and your played a lil up 601, he also has a black transam. But he has more than 308 hp. I also seen you at the beach i believe, did ya go to myrtle senior week? Oh by the way im the one with the stock black Z in town :rolleyes: hehe any ways stop and holla we might go race or something :D

Yeap, that's me :D I talked to your friend the weekend afterwards in the BK parking lot. He's pushing a pretty nice number to the wheels according to what mod's he told me he has.... very sweet car. I talked to him some about possibly installing my headers for me whenever I get around to ordering them.

There's a good chance that I'll be down that way tomorrow afternoon to see what's going on. Maybe I'll run in to ya, if you happen to see me around just get my attention some how :D

I work till 6 on most days in pilot, but the only day i bring the car out on weekdays is weds (unless its raining). W/e's im around most of the time. That w/e i was in my p/u and i was cruising i believe but not fer long.

I was there, met big rich

Didn't realize who it was until I saw his license tag as he was getting on I 77 to head back home.

I try to head down to Mt. Airy whenever I get a chance on the weekends which isn't too often. I used to hang out down there a few years back, just recently started to go down there again.

Were you in your pickup the weekend you saw me? There was some guy in a mid-size pickup that was playing around with me on 601 one weekend I was up there. Whenever he caught back up and passed me he smiled and waved I believe.



IGOW/N20 - Your ride is definately bad ass :D It was nice to put some faces with usernames here on the boards. I hope to make it down there again for another meet... if my plans of getting a job in Greensboro go through, then I'm sure I will be down there more often. I liked going to a meet where I was actually the slowest car there. I believe I was the only one that didn't have an aftermarket cam in the entire parking lot haha. It gives me reason to hurry up and get to work on mine.

You don't happen to charge to give people rides, do you? :D I'd give ya $10 for a ride in that '94.

HAHA i don't charge for rides. Next time your down this way I'll take ya for one. Unfortunately I broke the blower belt the next night on the dyno and its gonna be a few weeks before I get around to having another one put one. But I think there is going to be a nice meet on July 10 or 17th. I'll post up when we are going to have it and where.

I have the weekend of the 10th and 11th off but I believe I'm going to be in Bristol, TN for the NOPI event. I'm mainly going to get a chance to run it on the 1/4 :D Maybe there will be a few other domestics rolling around over there.

Any of you guys happen to be going there also? They have a car show as well as a burnout contest and the drag racing going on the entire weekend. There's a majority of Imports there but I have seen many nice domestics up there the last 2 years I'd been.

I think I might try and head to Bristol as well that weekend.

So I think i am going to try and throw something together for the 17th of July. I'll keep you posted

The last meet they had, when I went... there wasn't any rice. A couple of people showed up in their beaters but it was a pretty nice Domestic V8 turnout. I think there were about a dozen and a half cars there? Some of the regulars said there weren't many people at all there compared to normal.

Sometimes theres alot of cars out and sometimes its just us regulars. But we still had some awesome cars out. 600 hp camaros, 800 hp mustangs very nice.

Cool! I'm looking for a friendly, decent group of people to hang out with. The ones around here are stock and think they're the sh!t. Instead of them helping you out with your ride they burn you badddddd.
