They run about $2 ea. I have the NGK TR55-IX iridium plugs because I don't want to replace them every 10,000 miles. They run about $7 ea. As for wires I have the Taylor Thundervolt wires. They run about $60 a set. With shipping and everything I think I paid about $120 for plugs and wires. If you want more information you can check thunder racing (http://www.thunderracing.com), that's where I got mine. That's not true at all. With a modern ignition system the copper tr55s will last 30,000 or more miles. Heck I changed mine in the race car at 20,000 just because I had them out to do heads not becauase they were failing. The ones in the wifes 98 SS have been in there 24,000 with no signs of failing. teke184 06-15-2004, 06:39 AM agreed with al ngk tr55: $2 ech taylor spiro pro wires: $50 www.thunderracing.com Ed Blown Vert 06-15-2004, 10:19 AM Do wire make that much of a difference? I still have my stockers teke184 06-15-2004, 12:23 PM not really, but they are cheap, effective and look better. and just in case you pull a boot off the wire, you'll kick yourself for not having new ones ;) KamaroL98 06-15-2004, 02:21 PM Ive had my MSD 8.8 wires ever since ive owned my car and they hold up great. I switch my plugs from time to time though becaus i spray alot of nitrous in my time. lol. But they NGKs and Auto Lights are awsome. I prefer NGK though becaus autolight plugs break alot more often when i take them out. LPE_wannabe 06-20-2004, 10:52 PM what about AC Delco Rapidfire plugs??? teke184 06-21-2004, 09:15 AM no plug is more effective enough to warrent 2-3 times the $$ stick with the ngk's...can't beat em for $2 each | ||
