Please pardon if this is a dumb question. I haven't driven without abs since the early 90's when my parents had me driving the old skool station wagon. What would this feel like on a daily street driver? Say a car with 13" fronts and 12" rears? Without abs would it still suck in hard stop conditions? I'm thinking in rain or snow it won't matter either way right, the rears will still lock up? Just trying to see before I go after a for sale car with this setup.

The best option for non abs is to go to a parking lot and practice...
practice... practice.. practice... practice pumping your pedal to avoid lock ups...

Practice.. practice.. practice till you dont have to think...

that is the only thing that will work w/o abs.. and even then, i tend to like the ABS.

Thanks Highlander. I do have experience on all the old cars we had when I was growing up. I just can't picture it on a hi-po car like a 4th gen and driving it on the street as a dd. The guy whose car I'm looking at wanting to buy with this setup says that the big brakes seem to simply stop better regardless of abs. I guess it's all about pumping the brakes when it's wet out or I'm slamming on the brakes.
