No matter what i try i just spin all the way through first gear, i have 255 tires all around, they are kuhmo supra, prob not the best for drag racing..but it came on the car. They are fairly new.

It doesnt seem to matter if i launch at 1500 rpms or 2500 i just spin all the way through until 6500 rpms then the car starts to catch, and then i can chirp it in 2nd (not powershifting)

I have an M-6 and all mods are in Sig. Does anyone else have this problem? Should i try feathering the throttle? Any tips would be apprecaited thanks:bow:

uhm....it IS possible to launch the car without spinning. you can drive a stickshift, right? and you know how to take off without killing it, right? well.....just do an in-between of killing it and spinning the tires.

if you spin the tires then you're obviously giving it too much, either try riding the clutch out more, or giving it less gas.

well, either i spin too much or i kill it...not really a happy medium. I just rev it up to 1500 and dump the clutch. and if i short shift it, before redline then the car just doggs...as i am sure you know.
Also this is my first manual car...i have had it for a year...i can do fairly well with it, its just out of the dig, i just spin it too much.

Try slipping the clutch a little more instead of just dumping it. Makes it 10 times easier trying to hook on street tires vs dumping the clutch.

I had those Kumho tires before, they're inexpensive for a reason, they have very poor traction. Get some better tires for the rear, Nitto or BFG dr's are the best traction for street/strip. If you dont want to run them all the time just buy a pair and mount them on some spare wheels like salad shooters or something just for track use, they're cheap. SLP was selling new BFG dr's on firebird rims for $399. Or you can even pick up a used set of dr's and wheels for sale for under $200 here.
