I am currently running 7.0's spinning the hell out of some 26x10.5 et streets. I have a Le heads with a Joe O' cam I purchased from T/A lt1, and all the bolt ons minus a pulley.

This is a slip of my last run with a 150 shot
1.673 60'
4.621 330
77.50 mph
7.073 1/8
99.37 mph

Now basically all of first I spun hard and tapped the rev limiter since it reved fast. I know the track was sticky since it was not street night it was a night pro mods were running, basically no street tires were on the track, and all the street cars with big slicks were hooking pretty good except me. The only suspension mods I have are spohn Lca's and brackets set at the lowest position. I do have the front bumber support removed aswell as A/C and no sway bar. I was also on skinnies and 15x8 prostars.

Now in trying to hook this car I bought some used 28x10.5 e.t. drags that are fairly new ( I purchased these dirt cheap) My question is do I have enough power to use the tires or will I bog of the line. I do have 3.73's in the 10 bolt.

Any responses are welcomed!

They will work great on the juice but they might slow you down 1-2 tenths on the motor because of the gear reduction from going from a 26" tire to a 28" tall tire. I use MT ET streets 28*12.5*15 with a 3.70 gear and they work great on the bottle but it does not 60ft as well on the motor. Put them on and get some solid 10 sec passes :D

DId I read 7.07 at 99 in the 1/8? if so you have more tha enough power for a 28" tire. I run a 28" ET Street and I only run mid 7's at 90 in the 1/8. I would run a bit quicker with a shorter tire but I am far more consistent with the 28"... You have more power and can actually take better advantage of the larger diameter.

Nice times Man. Just so you know I ran 7.06 1/8th and ran 10.95@125.8mph so that 7.07 should have been a 10sec. pass. :D My best 60' on the 10.80's was 1.60 so don't feel bad. Those 28's you want to run will be almost equal to my 3.42's with 26" tires. But you may tear up the rear if it hooks. :p

Thank you for the responses.

I guess I am going to give them a try this week, I hope the 10 bolt will hold up.
