OK, whats going on with my car?

I went about 4000 miles without an oil change, so I think this might be my problem but I'll check with you guys...

My oil pressure always dips below 40 when I come to a complete stop and my RPMs fall to about 400 and the engine hesitates then the RPMs rise to about 600 (where they used to normally fall to and just stay when I came to an idle). Someone said it could be a problem with my oil pump, which I'm praying its not because I can't dish out $500 right now to get that fixed...

I had my oil changed yesturday and it still does it, but not as bad...I'm thinking since everyone says LS1's go through oil like we breath air, that I just didn't have much in there and now its equalizing or something. But, I know about as much as a rock on the subject so I'll leave it to you guys ;)

On a hot day during idle my car will also dip a tiny bit below 40 on the oil pressure guage, however, my car does not hesitate and my idle stays strong.
