What LCA to go with?

I was about to order my Spohn poly/poly LCA. But i was doing some more reading and i was reading that poly/poly isn't good. I read that it can bind up and other things like that. This is basically my daily driver. I want to take it to the strip maybe 2-3 times a month. Eventually i want the car to be in the low to mid 11's on nitrous. I also will try to do some autox some time in the future. Do you think a poly/poly lca will be okay? If so what do you recommend. If you don't think it will be okay and recommend a poly/rod ended LCA. Which do you recommend? I don't want to spend to much money but i don't want to purchase something that i'm gonna regret later on. Thanks.

I have BMG rubber/poly and they do just fine. Since it's going to see the track alot, I would lean toward the poly/rod ended LCA. But I think you will be fine with either choice.

If you're wanting to hit some 11s off, then poly/poly fo sho. Hard launches on rubber bushings ain't happening. Polys aren't that loud and I can't see you having a big problem w/ them binding. Heim joints are the ones that can be loud.

so a poly/poly ended lca should be okay then?

Yeah, they'll be fine. You may pick up a little more road noise than the OEM rubber bushings would, but keep the poly bushings greased and you should be fine.

Should i go with a the Spohn poly/poly or the BMR? I have BMR SFC's but i read a big thread from another site about the quality of BMR's stuff. They are both the same price though.

I think you'll be fine with either. Not sure what you've heard about BMR, but everything I have from them (SFC, k-member, a-arms) are nothing but top notch.

I've got poly/poly in my LCA's and never have a problem. I don't recall ever hearing an increase in noise or anything strange.

Every couple of months, I'll hear them start to squeak when I get in/out of the car, so I know it's time to lube them again. The guy that built my LCA's installed zerk fittings to make lubing the bushings a breeze. I assume other LCA's have the zerks, too.

The problem with poly/poly is not noise, but bind. This is really only a problem though under heavy cornering loads, which is typically seen during autox or roadcourse use. For typical street use and dragstrip use, poly/poly is fine. One word of caution, if you like to push the hadnling limits of the car on the street, then you may see some bind.

Now, the next question of course, is what is bind? Well, it's when the poly bushing binds under load, and then will suddenly break loose and move a little more. As you can imagine, this could be very bad if it happens under a high G steady state turn, and can often lead to a slide or spin in such a situation.

Anyway, I used poly/poly tubular arms on my 95 for about a year, and only every had problems on the roadcourse. They were fine for typical street use, and great for the strip.

Well i do make some hard turns in my car everyonce in a while on the street. But not too often. The car is just basically my daily driver that i will take to the track a couple times a month. So i will just go with the BMR poly/poly LCA's.
