Cable connection for OBD1

Hey, i just bought a $2000 snap on scanner and it cam with a cable to hook it to the OBD1 port. Is there anyway i can use the same cable to hook my car to my laptop. Here are some pics of what each end of the cable looks like. My friend hosted them on his cardomain for me.

it has to have the interface and that is part of the cable. it wont work.

what interface? waht do you mean?doesn't it just need to connect a certain pin on the obd1 port to a certain pin on the back of the computer?

No, there are some interfacing electronics involved. It is not just a direct connection. Look at http://akmcables.com , http://wotelectronics.com or other vendors for cables.
