Will a re-programmer do anything for an M6?

Depending on what brand, etc, etc.. yes you would see some HP gains. The biggest benefit is running the cooling fans at a lower temp and a 160 degree thermostat, especially if you live in a hot part of the country. In Texas, running a 160 degree thermostat and reprogramming the fans via a HPP3+ was worth a consistent 2/10 in the quarter mile on my old 97 Z28. The actual "power program"....well, I've heard good and bad. The power program didn't seem to really change performance much in my case.

Other benefits are setting shift points and firmness in auto trans cars and compensating for gear/ tire changes. With a manual, all this is worthless (except for recalibrating the speedo after a gear swap.)

Anyhow, hope this helps answer your Q.

i strongly vote AGAINST using a hypertech to gain power.....they are great for reprogramming fans and speedo correction and stuff but their power tune is GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!

i installed it in my car for half an hour before i took it back to stock....ran like CRAP!!!!!!!

i cant say about the other programmers but dont buy a hypertech for the power tuning.
