T56 output shaft seal

How many output shaft seals (tailshaft ) are there on the T56?
When looking at my trans I see a large somewhat cone shaped one on the outside and then the traditional ring type seal on the inside. Do both of these get replaced when redoing the seal(s)? Or do I toss the outside one and just replace the inside one? I don't think I can remove the outside seal/boot without damaging it.

there is a special tool you need for removal and installation so you dont damage the seal(s)

I just pried the seal up with a screwdriver. It had a lip on the outside of the trans extension. Turns out the inner seal and the dust boot are one piece. The new one will work but just doesn't have the dust boot
