:p
I had this under my car for about 3 weeks, I put my stock one back on since I am selling the car, and my friend put it on his (basically stock) GTA. 4 or 5 days later he calls me, stranded on the side of the road.

My LS1 driveshaft has held up to some pretty hard launches on my bolt on lt1 *knock on wood*. I got a spohn toruque arm with driveshaft loop if it decides to take a crap on me.

I did the same thing to mine, on the line at the track. Dropped the street twin on it at about 5500 rpm and didn't move more than 6"s.
Any one have any suggestions for a tougher unit for under 400$.
Should I just have the stock steel one balanced? I would think the 2.5" stock steel unit would take quite abit more abuse but I don't the wall thickness on the stockers.
Any experiences or help would be appreciated.

I just bought a Denny's Nitrous Ready DS for $400 on the dot... (I had to add in Tax)...
Lifetime breakage gaurentee (sp?) on the tubing or welds. Lifetime free service and 10,000 RPM balancing.
I believe it is a CM shaft, but I'm not 100% sure.

Denny Nitrous Ready shaft is what I am going to be going with.
It has lifetime breakage guarantee AND if you ever need to resize it (lengthening doesnt count) they will do it for free also.

What do you think of the LPE 3.5" alum unit, looks like a deal but dont know about the abuse also need to collect the weight #s for all three to compare rotating mass.

LPE shaft weighs 12.9 LBs. I have seen people taking them into the 10's on some boards. I'd stick with the ls1 shaft. That breakage sounds like a improperly installed driveshaft. Or that thing was on its way out before it was even installed.
