it was a nice casino and the rooms were ok. but for 39 a night it's a place ot put your head at night. Which is all you need in vegas. ;)

Well...there is a large group leaving Phoenix @ 8am on the 3rd. If you Tucson folks (or anyone else from Phx) want to meet us then, and we'll go from there up to Vegas that would be cool.

We've got approx 12-15 cars leaving that morning for Vegas. Our plan is to get up there around 1 o'clock. We'll all cruise to the car wash, get the cars cleaned up, then check into our hotels. That'll give most of us a couple of hours to either grab a nap, something to eat, etc., before we meet up with the Vegas crew.

Here's the info on where we're meeting:

For those who didn't go last year, the home depot is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Bell Rd & Grand Ave (US60). This makes it easy for everyone since we'll just shoot up the 60.
If everyone gets their by 7:30 we can direct people to gas stations if they need it and there are several places to grab a quick bite to eat before we depart @ 8am.

Does anybody have a line on the Hotel info FOR SURE??? The different clerks/people answering the phone are all giving out conflicting info. One caller was told it is $39/night ONLY on Thursday and Sunday, & $79/night Fri and Sat.......plus they won't take reservations, claim not to have heard anything about this, etc.........I am leading the information for people from one of my clubs and they are all getting leary about going due to the lack of communcation from the hotel, etc........any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Some of these folks are coming from the San Fran area and won't commit to going if they cannot get a room reserved.

Hey everyone, sorry about the hassles.
You know it's odd, the last three years we've done this event, I've had 15 rooms blocked at Palace Station, which is where I used to work.
None of those three years, were all those rooms ever used up.
Now we have everyone rolling up, so I'll take the good with the bad I guess.
Here is the deal, anyone with a reservation ALREADY, needs to call and speak with Manager On Duty and confirm their reservation.
If anyone else is making a reservation, call the MOD.
This helps you, the hotel and us figure out how many of the blocked rooms have actually been taken.
If all 15 are gone, then an additional 10 rooms will be blocked for a rate of 79 per night.
Yes it's more but you have to realize what time of year it is.
Typically you can't get a room cheaper than 169 per night on Labor Day Weekend.
If all those rooms get taken, then I have 10 more rooms that people can get at Texas Station, which is a really nice place to stay, it's actually like a little city.
It is located further north in town and a bit closer to the speedway.
These rooms are 109 per night.
Again more expensive but this is after the initial 25 rooms are taken at Terrible's.
If anyone has a problem with reservations from here on out, meaning the problem is supposedly fixed and you shouldn't have, please email myself dave@lvfbody.com or Sam 98TAM6.
If the turnout is obviously alot more, than we will just go ahead and block forty rooms from the outset next year.
The event will be worth coming to, even if you have to kick down a little extra to stay here.
Friday/Saturday will be dyno/tuning day for any that need it.
Saturday is Race day at the track, with all kinds of trophies and prizes.
Sunday is the biggest car show we've had yet, with many, many prizes and trophies to go along with the multiple classes.
It WILL be a good time.

It is now late Saturday night, early Sunday morning and STILL no return call from EITHER of my messages. A group of us from AZ went to see that show last year during the day on Saturday rather than going to the track. I thought the show was excellent & wouldn't mind seeing it again!

I got my room booked for Fri/Sat. night at $59 a night. Has anybody ever stood at this hotel ? I'm starting to figure out why they're called "Terrible's Hotel and Casino". If their customer service is bad.........imagine their casino? Instead of giving you coins at the slot machines, they probably give I.O.U's

my sister stayed there, she did not like it at all.......

Terrible herbest are chains of gas stations/car washes/coinvence stores.

I've been to the casino, it's basicly for locals and cheapasses not wanting to deal with the strip prices/traffic. It's a good casino, VERY loose slots, the buffet is good also. but is no way able to compare to the mega resorts of the strip, please do not try and compare apples to tires.

David is correct, I could have gotten a group rate at the Luxor, but didn't think you guys wanted to spend $149/night, LOL!

I hear ya man. :) but 149 a night isn't bad split up between 3 friends.

To have the strip at your finger tips and not worry about driving/taxi/bus action is worth the extra cash. :)

Next year, try the excal. they had great room rates without being in a group. I'm sure you could pull something off next year, sam.

100 for friday 139 for saturday and then 100 for sunday.

I know alot of the peole that are driving up (and not registered on your board) would rather not run the risk of breaking anything, since we would then have to fnd a way home.

This is in addition to, we will always have the BBQ/carshow on Sunday, but the track changed the schedule for Saturday's racing.

I actually emailed Rottluver and he said that he won't be attending the event. I'm also trying to see if there are any members in the L.A. area caravaning to LV. There's currently 2 other f-bod members beside me going.
