LTCC timing retard for blower motor

I just bought a used LTCC here, and am looking over the manual. I'd like some input on how much retard the system should be set up with based on my application. Here are the motor specs:
LT1 block with splayed 4 bolt mains
LT4 intake & heads
Forged 4340 Eagle crank & H-beam rods
Forged SRP 9:1 pistons
GMPP HOT cam
Procharger P600 w/ 8 PSI & front mount intercooler

Retard options are .5 degree per 1,000 RPM up to 3 degrees per 1,000 RPM.

It will depend on your logging and what you have set up in your cal file...

I wouldn't do less than 2/1krpm just to be safe and START Tuning...

I agree- if you're doing this without a full complement of diagnostic tools- START CONSERVATIVE. Until you get your fuel curve dialed in reasonably close you pretty much rely on the ignition timing to keep you out of detonation. Detonation in a boosted motor is FAR more destructive than in a N/A combo. You can blow the motor in a matter of seconds if you step over the line. And you won't KNOW you stepped over the line until it's too late. Impossible to hear detonation over the exhaust and blower screaming.

Like Highlander said- THEN START TUNING. Dyno time on something with a wide band O2 would be money well spent BEFORE you start playing on the ragged edge with ignition advance.
