I was told by a friend that I would need to change my pistions and rods on my stock LT1 if I wanted to put on a super charger or twin turbos. Is this correct?

quick supercharger/turbo question...Jag 06-02-2004, 03:47 PM I was told by a friend that I would need to change my pistions and rods on my stock LT1 if I wanted to put on a super charger or twin turbos. Is this correct? mongse_1 06-02-2004, 04:50 PM If you want it to not blow up... Correctamundo. Red96Lt1 06-03-2004, 04:31 PM You can probably get away with 6lbs of boost. stealth2 06-03-2004, 04:42 PM I agree that you could put up to, say, 12 lbs boost on it and sleep well at night knowing it will stay together for awhile. When I see these questions I assume that reliability is important to you and that you are not looking to make a one time dyno test just to see if it will break. | ||
