Opinions on KBDD's for drag racing?

Yeah, yeah, I know, shoulda' had SFC's put on a long time ago, but I just never got around to it. :D

Anyways, a little info...

The car, as seen in the sig, is under the knife right now being converted to a 383 LT1 with an Innovative GT80DBB turbo. For suspension, it has HAL shocks and springs, GW torque arm and control arms, Strange 12-bolt, etc.

What i'm wondering is, are the KBDD SFC's a good (or wise) choice for a car that'll be primarily straight line or are there much better choices out there? And, if so, what?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Marty

I think they're overkill period. Tieing into the tunnel brace area doesn't do as much for our cars as it did for the Mustangs (which the DD design first originated on). I'm using a BMR boxed SFC on my car and it's got a pair of large turbos on it. :D

My biggest concern with the KBDD's was that they seem to be made of only ~1" thick box. I wasn't too sure if that'd be strong enough.
