LPE Z convt 05-30-2004, 04:46 PM I went to the track friday night to see how the car would do... The temp was 65* , bara was 30.00, and the humidity was 49%... The car weighed 3858 with out me in it and i weigh 215 pounds with 275/40/17s all the way aroumd with closed borla the car went 1.874 - 60 foot , 7.924@88.56 in the 1/8th and 12.330@112.15 in the 1/4 The car ran strong as hell.. This was N/a no power adder yet... I launched the car at idle and still spun through the 60-foot mark with nittos.. I guess its time for slicks and skinnies and get rid of the stock torque arm and buy a spohn .....Thanks Joe Overton for the cam and all the help... I still need to get the car on a dyno and tune it this is with a mail order tune...Then i will open the bottle:D
neil350 05-31-2004, 02:35 AM Not bad, 3800 isnt a light car at all.

Not bad, 3800 isnt a light car at all. I know the car is a pig... Then you factor my weight 215 the car is heavy:cry:
LPE Z convt 05-31-2004, 02:46 AM Hey neil350, Sweet car i had a car just like yours .. Mine was a 93 red hard top auto... With chip and homade raim air it went 13.81@100.37... That car ran great....

Robert95z 06-01-2004, 08:25 PM I know you cant give us specs of the game but can you give us a little hint on how big or small it is

i'm thinking about taking mine to GIR this coming Tuesday, cept mine weighs in at about 3300 with me;) It was weighed at the co-op elevator in Lafayette In. i figured they would be close on correct weight.... I asked the guy and he asured me the scales were correct.. I wish it weighed about 3400#s then i would have ran easy 11s all motor... The car is a pig hell i still have the spare tire and jack in the back.... 3300 #s with you in it or just the car itself.... How far are you from US 41 dragway? That is where i go to race...Good luck at the track.. Have you dynoed the car yet?
simple 06-03-2004, 08:24 PM US41 is about 2.5 - 3hrs north of me, depending on how many cops are on the interstate, it could be a little closer;)
with me in the car and a half tank of gas she tips the Co-op scales at ~3370
no dyno pulls yet, might be throwing it on one tonite tho
get some real tires for that thing and stick that launch it'll pull an 11:)
97 WS6 T/A Conv 06-03-2004, 08:46 PM Good job man. Open that Borla wide open she'll give you a little more there too. :)
Joes94TA 06-03-2004, 10:33 PM nice times for first time out....like Gary said uncap the borla and get that leave down ..You may find rolling into the throttle rather than trying to stick the nittos will net a better et and mph if your spinning excessively..Gary has that down to a art took him a few passes also, but you started in the same area he did.... fun making heavy cars go fast.:D
LPE Z convt 06-03-2004, 10:41 PM Thanks Guys and Joe hell yes its fun making heavy cars go fast.. I will try the roll launch and see.. The car was spinning way past the 60 foot mark basically all of first gear.... I forgot to tell you guys my second to last run of the night was against a modded 03 cobra( pulley, exhaust, tune that i know of) and he blew his car up .. We raced back and forth all night and the last time we lined up i redlighted and thought he was pissed and let off but come to find out when he shifted into second the car made a loud BOOM and that was it.... :D Thanks Again Joe Overton for helping me out and Gary also for answering questions and getting me hooked up with Joe....
formula383 06-04-2004, 01:29 AM Congrats on the good times especially at that weight.
I am going to get lloyd to do some headwork for me and get one of his cams (which comes from Joe) and hopefully I will be running some good times, hopefully 11's NA.
