heres my time slip

RT: .678
60': 1.842
1/8: 7.824
mph: 91.24
1/4: 12.101
mph: 115.71

and thats the best 60' i could get
my car is lowered, i have all the beefed up rear suspension parts/ SFCs .. i did NOT get a chance to weld in relocation brackets on my new rear end yet .. my car is an M6 / street twin / 3.73s strange 12 bolt (now broken after that run !? wtf ?!)

i removed the front sway bar .. yet the best 60' i could get was 1.84 ... i ran my 10.5 x 15 ET streets at 12 psi cold ... heated them up very good ... and popped my clutch at 5500 ... the video for that run should be up shortly ..

i think i was spinning them because that night i got 4 passes .. 3 of them with 1.87 1.85 and 1.84 60' times .. and i launched much hater progresively .. first was 3800 , then 4500 then 5500 ... so i guess i must've been spinning them

any ideas ? i really need another .2 to get in the 11s .. though i broked my rear end im not sure if its gonna happen this year anymore .. but who knows ... thanx

My guess would be that once you weld in some relocation brackets for the LCA's that you should be a lot better off.

It sounds to me based on your 60' and a 5500 rpm "Dump the cluth" launch you must be spinning. I'd say the track prep wasn't as good as it could have been. You broke a 12 bolt on the last run right? In other words no time? That would have probably been the run it hooked on. 12.1@115 is awesome though. The "Only" thing keeping you out of the 11's is the 60'. I would definately make it my next project after repairing the 12 bolt adding the relocation brackets. When I flash my converter it launches at 3000 rpm's. Man I would really think hard before I launched my car at 5500 rpm's. It costs too much IMO,
Fred

this is my 12.1 run .. listen closely and u'll hear the rear end go boom and the 4th gear chirp i got

these vids are about 6 megs each and are MPEG 4 encoded .. which means u'll need quicktime 6 to view them

Is it possible that your new rear wasn't broken in? I've heard that some times the gears can fail if they aren't heat cycled properly before racing. I dunno. A 12-bolt shouldn't break if you are spinning out of the hole. Do you know what broke?

Are the tires pretty new? Even a lowered car will generally hook up better than that with the MTs.

The relocation brackets should help. I just got mine installed and test drove it tonight. They make a noticeable difference on the street. My street tires feel more like drag radials now. I'm hoping that these brackets will help me get a 12.1 though at a lower MPH than you. This weekend I hope to go the track and find out.

I'm envious of your MPH. What cam are you running?

my rear end was new when i got it .. i put on at least 1500 miles of city driving / road trips before racing with it ...

i WAS spinning the ETs ... how did u launch ur car ? what rpm did u dump ur clutch at ??

I run the CC306 (230 / 244 - .544 / .576 112) .. not a good NA cam at all .. i want the XE236/244 ... but for my next setup im going with a solid roller and direct port N2O ... my heads also flow 293 / 224 @ .550 .... so that might have something to do with it ;)
my car also weighted in at 3520 that night and i dynoed 371

i dont know what i broke in the rear end ... i'll look at it in a while .. just bought a beater

When I launched mine, I also just jumped off the clutch. I didn't side step it, but I did lift my foot off all at once. I started at 4000 rpm...1.80 60-foot. Then 5000 rpm...1.71 60-foot... Then 5500 rpm...1.69 60-foot.

My car isn't lowered though.

What do you mean that the cc306 isn't a good NA cam? I thought that one was one of the best. Bad street manners but great top end. No?

I personally think CC306 would make a killer N2O cam .. specially if it was ground on a 114 lsa ... i'd rather have a 236 / 244 on an NA car ...

the top end is good yes .. my peak HP was at 6350 i think .. but thats when the dyno guy let off the gas .. (my stock fuel pump couldnt hold pressure / ran lean) .. i bet if i had enough fuel and moved the rev limiter i'd make peak power at 6500 - 6600ish .. and the street manners are horrible .. tuning helps .. but still :death:
