Injuneer 05-26-2004, 01:14 PM There's an interesting writeup on correction factors on the Dynojet website - based on an article from GM High-Tech Performance magazine. They note the conditions for SAE (29.23"Hg, 77degF, 0% humid) vs. "standard" (29.92"Hg, 68degF, ??% humid), and note that an engine that produced 412rwHP with SAE correction will produce 423rwHP with "standard" correction, and 425rwHP with DIN correction. That would be about a 2.7% difference for standard over SAE. http://www.dynojet.com/gmhtpmag.shtml Look at page 4. There is also an excellent article in a recent issue of Hot Rod magazine comparing several different dynos (e.g. Dynojet, Mustang, Superflow), and the results on each for the same car (unfortunately a HP challenged Mustang GT). Also discusses the differences in correction factors, and how easy it is to "rig" the results. | ||
