Anybody go to the NHRA Nationals in Joliet?

I went there with my auto class for school, I've never seen (or felt) a top fuel car take off. It was amazing.

I hope to go to the race in St. Louis also, since it's a bit closer to home.

Yeah, I went last night, and it was AWESOME! I went 2 years ago, so it wasnt anything new to me, but it was still great. The best is going at night and seeing the header flames. Also, its pretty cool when they start up the engines in the pits, and you cant even breath or see right when they do it cuz the exhaust is so noxious! I love it how your vision kinda blurs when they take off.

I know what you're saying, I was sitting at the VERY top of the stands and it still burned my eyes.

Oh, and by the way what part of the stands were you in?

:eek: Went Saturday. This so far has been my 3rd year I have went to nationals. We try to go to both times they come to town. It ended up raining on us. But we got to watch a good 6 hours. Man I had a kick ass time.
