Super Sucker Ram Air. awesome mod. it is like the fast toys ram air but has a lower scoop that sucks the air up into the box.

I have the SLP Cold Air Induction. Is that pretty much the same.

same idea, but i don't think as effective. the SSRA scoop is lower and actually catches air from under the nose. the SLP and FTRA are more of a cold air kit, relying on drawing air from under the nose instead of it being "rammed" into the scoop.

and the SSRA is plastic, so it is less of a heat soak, and a bit more forgiving if you hit something

i have noticed the car running hotter even though it is plastic. in traffic and stop and go, it goes to about 210. once you start driving or if you are on the highway is is lower. fan switch ??

Do you have a problem w/ rain getting in. How does this hook up w/ the lid?

no problems in rain, even downpours. only thing you need to watch for are the huge puddles of standing water, that would be bad ;)

I got the lid, ssra and bellows at once and could feel the negine breathing easier right away. the ssra fits along your radiator and slips in under the filter tray, so the lid goes on normally :D

So on a 99Z,no cutting.

the only thing that you have to cut is the bottom of the air box housing. like the free ram air mod. nothing big :)

Opening up the bottom of the box so the engine can breathe better might provide some benefit because the car can breathe easier though.

would this work on an SS? I looks like it would definently help a z28. I know the SS sccop isn't the most effective form of induction, but can they work toghether?

the kit includes a piece of weatherstripping in which you use to seal your air box opening. SSRA
