I was comparing cam package prices with Texas Speed & Performance, and Thunder Racing. Texas Speed's prices are a lot cheaper, and seem to come with better parts.

The TSP cam that I was looking at has the following specs: TSP Custom 224 Cam: 224/224, .566"/.566", 112 LSA

Description: 1700-6500 RPM Power Band; This cam has great mid-range and top-end power with less lift and less aggressive lobes than the 224R. Custom tuning required on automatic cars.

Would there be any difference between these cams?

TSP: 224/224, .566"/.566", 112 LSA
TR:224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA

If they are both comps, they are the exact same cam.

Its much easier for a shop to advertise that they have their own cams and chance the specs just slightly to make it seem like it.

Just like all those g5 or whatever cams... they are all extreme comp grinds of some sort.

Can't go wrong with any of those. Although I'd look into a hot cam kit as a comparison to that 224. IMHO the hotcam kit is so cheap that whatever differences they have you can put into other parts of the car, or finish off all the bolt ons. There are many 390rwhp hotcam cars.

If your going to buy a larger cam I'd go with Futral Motorsport F11 the lobes are actually MORE agressing than the XER which I believe those 224's are although with that low of lift I'm not sure. But the F11 228/230 Is a very good all around cam.
