Jason kbog54 05-18-2004, 12:57 PM Does yours have the functioning hood flaps? If so, those are pretty rare. I have an '83 Z28 305 with the functioning scoops and crossfire injection. I think the '82-3 Z's all came with the 305 and crossfire injection. RS's came with a carbed 305 and nonfunctioning hood flaps. hope that helps, i think there was a post on here about 4 months ago that detailed that hood. Stephen 87 IROC 05-18-2004, 08:51 PM I use one of those on my car. I think it was off an 82. I managed to find one in reasonable condition in the junk yard. Cost me $20. I have yet to find another. It didn't have the functional flaps but I cut it up to put the scoop on and filled in the "induction indents" along the center. With the amount of fabrication work I did to it, it's not exactly light but it's still lighter than a steel hood. Not true.....my friend just brought an all original '83 Z with an LG4. It has the 'glass hood, but the flaps aren't functioning (yet ;) ) - Justin Dirt Reynolds 05-21-2004, 03:35 PM My '82 Z with the LG4 305 did not have the functioning hood flaps, but it did have the glass hood. | ||
