They look good. Any reason that you didn't get 18" wheels instead?? Those wheels still look great, but I was just curious.

Those look great on a Black car, I've seen two now with those and both Z's were Black
Im plannin on grabbin four of those babies for my Teal ride, except im gonna do the 18x9.5 front 18.10.5 rears:cool: I think they'd look alittle better on a Teal or Electric Blue car due to the contrasting colors. And with a Black painted cowl of a Stinger hood, Gloss Black Berger Rear Valance to finish off my look:D
Just out of curiosity, how much did you get each one for? I got a website that sells them for $214shipped for the 18s (each)!!!Thats hella good deal since most sites have them for around 320-360 each!
Only problem, I cant find the 285s for the fronts and 305s for the rears that I want (specially that wont cost me both arms and legs to buy)
Good choice man, I like em..lets see the drop and a contrasting color on the calipers or emblems..and you got a friggin sweet ride:thumb:
(yeah..and edit that webpage..its camAro:p )

I just bought a set of those not too long ago from Discount Tire Direct. They only have them in 17x9.5 and a 18x10.5 size. I went with the 17x9.5s all around with a 275/40 kuhmo. I was going for cheap and got em cheap. $1170 for the set (tires mounted and balanced) wholesale's a great thing. :D They're still cheap on the website retail. I had to wait a couple weeks to get them here, but it looks like they've got good stock on them now for anyone who's interested. They look killer on my white formula, I'll have pics posted soon.

Here's the link to the 17's...

Here's the 18's...

SURE, now I see you guy telling me abou this CO. I paid $1199 plus $935 for the tires! That is why I went with the 17", b/c of cost. If I found them at that price, I would have gotten the 18". BTW, this is the 2nd post tonight on this CO.!

Yeah...that does suck man. You paid a fortune! These wheels aren't that popular yet...you could take them off your car and sell them to some idiot and make near all of your money back I'm sure. Then you could turn around and go get the 18s. I saw a guy that put them on a car alot like yours that actually works for Discount Tire Direct. He put them on a black ls1 ss and they looked pretty nice. I wanted to get the 18's too, but my car's on sportlines and I didn't know if it would clear everything or not so I played it safe (not to mention cheaper tires). I know you have to bang the inner fender well in the rear and run a spacer in the front to keep away from stuff. To me over 10" in a front wheel is just a little TOO wide. It BARELY tucked in some pics that I saw, almost goofy looking with a prokit.

Look ok, I know they are not 18" or 20", but they still make the car. Like I said, springs will be on soon. Let us remember, I will be USING these rims and tires for autox events, not just show!

Just messing with you man - it looks absolutely great.

But I would have went with 18's too...

holy sh!t man! that seriously looks awesome!  ...How do you think they would look on a white Z..with the windows tinted a deep black?? I might have something new to try and save for!

Whats up with all these "should have went with 18s" comments?

I noticed lately whenever someone posts pics of their new wheels there are atleast 2+ posts about going bigger then 17s.

Some of you need to realize that some people maybe care litlte more about performance then the bling factor.
I could have gotten 18s for my car, but i didnt for 2 simple reasons.
18s+ = NO TRACTION/EXPENSIVE TIRES.

what so cool about 18s+? They maybe fill up the gap litle bit more, but they also sure look nice with those puny brakes eh
I just dont see whats the hype about. :p Someone fill me in on advantages of bigger wheels

That is just what I think,Bling-Bling. Dont get me wrong, they look good. I just think the 17" is more practical. I want to here from someone w/ the 18" and very low pro tire who lived through a pot hole w/ rim and tire unharmed.

Exactly..If i wanted the "bling" factor...i would sell my car and get a tahoe with some 22's or something.. ...I figured being on a Camaro forum..the majority of the people would worry about performance first..than the bling factor..Unless you drive a V6..or a honda, worry about performance first.

Are they available without the rivets?

You can get the wheels in solid black. A friend of mine has them on a pewter 01 SS. It looks pretty nice. Need to paint the calipers something besides black to pop the wheels off more cause they kind of fade in without the polished lip.

Deenasty your car looks alright, possibly the only colour i like with black wheels. Other than that black wheels are disgusting :barf:
Chrome/polished or even silver painted wheels look good on a black car. But black wheels just like they are dirty too me :p

1stls1
06-03-2004, 10:52 PM
I guess eveyone has their own view(right or wrong). When they are dirty, they turn brown by the way, from the brake dust.
