9th Injector Elimination

Will an 89 PROM, disconnecting the injector and sensor, and crimping the 9th injector completely eliminate the cold start system?

What sensor are you refering to?

probably means the cold start switch

yes, but you need to turn off VATS in the 89 prom to get the car to start.

Hmm...my 88 has VATS. I need to bypass it?

since your 88 has VATS, no, but most 88 and plder did not have it, just the higher end 88's(GTA, ect.)

It's not just higher end 88's, it's actually 88's built later in the year. My friends 88 GTA was built in September of 87 and doesn't have VATS.

Cool. Thank you all. I thought this was harder. Now I just need to find a prom. Nothing fancy...I will do that if I ever go big with the motor....
